We want to make ensure everyone feels safe and comfortable at our range. Please familiarize yourself with our safety regulations so that you are prepared and understand what is expected of you while shooting. Our friendly range security officers are available immediately if you have any questions or issues with your firearm.

4 UNIVERSAL SAFETY RULES

  • All firearms are considered loaded at all times
  • Always point firearms in a safe direction (downrange, the ground, etc.), until on target and ready to fire
  • Always keep your trigger finger straight along the frame until on target and ready to fire
  • Always know your target and what is beyond it

GENERAL RANGE RULES

  • All bags & cases entering the range must be fully inspected by staff
  • No outside ammunition and target authorized
  • Ear and eye protection must be worn at all times
  • When not shooting, stay behind the shooting bay or marked lines
  • Please refrain from shooting the floor, ceiling or walls of the range. You will be liable for any damages caused.
  • Every effort should be made for rounds to impact the back stop
  • No more than 2 shooters per lane
  • No cross lane shooting
  • Rapid firing, holster draw, and dynamic shooting is only authorized for licensed customers
  • Firearm Instructors are prohibited from instructing on X-Ring range, unless they are a certified X-Ring instructor
  • Failure to follow these instructions gives X-Ring the right to remove individuals from the premises
  • All shooters 18 years of age or older must possess a valid state issued ID or US passport
  • You must be 18 years of age or older to use the range unless accompanied by a parent or legal guardian
  • Minors accompanied by a parent or legal guardian must be at least 13 years of age
  • Shooters must be 21 to rent or possess a handgun at X-Ring
  • Shooters between 18 and 20 may shoot and rent long guns as well as purchase long gun ammunition
  • Pregnant women are not permitted on the range
  • Wear appropriate clothing, closed toe shoes (required) and pants are recommended, no low-cut tops
  • Alcohol, illegal drugs or any other form of impairment is not allowed while on our property
  • Smoking/smokeless tobacco is prohibited in the store and on the property
  • It’s strongly encouraged to wash your hands after using the range
  • We reserve the right to refuse service to anyone at any time for any reason

What is X-Ring Security?
Setting a new standard in the firearms industry, X-Ring Security proudly serves our diverse community as Hawaii’s largest gun club and indoor shooting range. Our premiere firearms facility offers 9 state-of-the-art indoor lanes, a fleet of firearm rentals including pistols, rifles, and shotguns, on-site gunsmithing services, an interactive retail store, experienced instructors and specialized training programs, a VIP members-only lounge and boardroom, and event space available for both public and private events.

What is the age requirement for shooting at the range?
Anyone under the age of 18 must be accompanied by a parent or legal guardian at all times. Children from ages 9 to 13 are only permitted to shoot rimfire cartridges (such as .22LR) under parental supervision while at the range. Youth 13 and up may use both rimfire and centerfire cartridges. To rent handguns at our facility you must be at least 21 years of age. Our Youth Authorization Form is available online for you to fill out ahead of time.

What if I have never shot a firearm before?
If you’ve never shot before, we require that you take the Firearm Rental Familiarization Course. This process only takes about 15 to 20 minutes and cost $29.95.

What do you carry in your retail shop?
We sell a wide range of firearm brands, from Glock, Sig Sauer, Smith & Wesson, Heckler & Koch, and many more. In addition to firearms, we sell optics & sights, ammunition, self-defense products, and plenty of firearm accessories and supplies

Is X-Ring a good place for events and parties?
Absolutely! Our facility is the perfect venue for your next event. Whether it be for your next holiday party, corporate event, private fundraiser, bachelor/bachelorette party or social get-together X-Ring will help you and your guests celebrate with a bang! Check out our Events page to get the 411

I am from a different state/country. Can I still shoot at X-Ring Security?
Yes. All you need is a valid, government-issued photo ID (passport, ID card, Drivers license, etc) in order to use our range.

How long are the shooting lanes at the range?
We are an all-indoor range so the farthest distance we have is 25 yards.

How do I request a charitable donation?
We love supporting great causes in our local community. We take all charitable donation requests by appointment only. Please email our General Manager, Mae Shiroma, at mae@xringsecurity.com to inquire.

Do you offer a membership program?
es. We offer various membership packages to fit your specific shooting needs. Our yearly pay-as-you-go mmembership is only $29.99 per year and $20.00 per hour to shoot. We also offer WEEKDAY and PREMIERE Membership options.  Check out our Memberships page to learn more.

Do you have an on-site gunsmith?
Yes, we offer gunsmithing services for on-site modifications and repairs to a wide range of firearms.

Do you have a dress code?
We want all of our guests to dress comfortably, but any clothing that creates a hazard or dangerous distraction or causes offense to other guests and/or staff is strictly prohibited. This includes baggy pants and clothing with offensive writing or images. Closed-toed shoes are required on the shooting range. We reserve the right to refuse business to anyone dressed in a manner deemed inappropriate by the staff

Do you allow outside instructors to teach at X-Ring?
No, we do not allow any third party instructors to teach at X-Ring. All of our instructors are vetted and trained by the X-Ring executive team and have years of real-world military and/or law enforcement experience

Do I need my own gun to shoot at the range?
No, in fact you are welcome to rent any one of our rental firearms from our fleet which includes various types of handguns, shotguns, and semi-automatic rifles

Can you draw your weapon from the holster on the range?
No. We currently do not authorize drawing from the holster in the range for public use. Certain courses and training programs may authorize drawing from the holster during instruction but are prohibited during normal business hours

Can I use my own ammo?
No. All ammunition used at X-Ring must be purchased at time of use from our showroom. Ammunition may be taken out of the facility but will not be allowed back in for future use

Can I shoot rifles and shotguns at the range?
Yes. We allow you to shoot all rifles up to .308 Winchester and shotguns with slug loads.

Can I buy an X-Ring Security gift card?
Yes! X-Ring gift cards are a great present for the gun enthusiast. Gift cards are available for purchase in-store. Stop by today!.

Are you open to the public?
Yes, we have 9 shooting lanes, 25-yards each. Our backstop is rated for pistols, rifles (up to .308 Win), and shotguns (slugs).

Am I allowed to use my own firearm on the range?
Yes. You may use your own firearm as long as it is in a safe and working condition. We require that any firearm that is brought into the facility to be visually inspected by staff prior to use on the range.
